   N-ended links in D&L for Release 1 unless somebody we really care
   about really needs and can use them so swiftly that Release 2 is
   too far away.


I assume you mean '...unless it makes sense to get us to product
quicker.'  I can imagine that n-ended links slightly simplify the
interface to links.  I can also imagine that they are much easier to
document.
