My future plans

Hi,

My contract with the GZigZag group at University of Jyväskylä,
Department of Mathematical Information Technology expires at the end of
this year, and I've chosen not to ask for a renewal. There are many
reasons, but one of the most prominent ones is that I'm going to work as
an assistant in software engineering at the same department at least for
the spring and the summer, and I personally feel that this is where I
should be going. In practical terms, I will be working on my MSc thesis
on formal methods and will be doing some teaching at one advanced-level
course here.

So, what does this mean for the GZigZag project? I won't be getting
paid for any work in the project, so my share of the work will diminish
greatly. I will still be doing something, though: I will still be doing
the releases, and I may do some other things as well, but as a volunteer
developer and not as an employee. This is by my choice.

So, although this is not a farewell per se, I want to thank everyone
involved for the one and a half years I've been with this project;
especially Tuomas and Ted: thanks for everything, you both have been
inspiring :-)

PS: I got my BSc degree on Friday :-)
