No, still the same extremely strange bug with the latest version: after a
while, fontmetrics' stringwidth returns zero width for anything. Oddly,
kaffe starts up from a saved file much faster but is much slower at first
creation of a new space.
We need to file a bug report on Kaffe, I think...
